Screen Cornwall is set to broaden its engagement and talent cultivation initiatives, inviting individuals from various backgrounds to embark on their industry journey. This fruitful funding effort was preceded by a study, sponsored by the BFI (British Film Institute), executed by Screen Cornwall.
The study revealed that the cinematic domain in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is poised to evolve into a "national hub of importance", leveraging the escalating traction for Cornish indie films and filming venues.
Recent data, analysed using Creative England’s Local Economic Impact Toolkit, indicates that the film and TV sectors currently infuse the Cornish economy with a contribution exceeding £5 million in GVA.
